This page is looking like a real family album – photos all over the place!! Well, I have formating problems with my wordpress platform – the gallery just does not want to post photos full size, so I have to put them in manually, and I don’t yet know how to format properly manually. Bear with me!!
Above we have photos of our favorite Davenport, the juiciest root beer float I could find, a refreshing margarita, and photos from Andriana’s (Annie’s daughter’s) recent 21st birthday party. Sorry the family pics don’t come out bigger. I think there’s a transfer problem from her mac to my pc, since no matter how I downloaded them, they came out tiny. Sigh – still have so much to learn. Images take sooooooo much of my time, you can’t imagine.
Wow-Thanks for sharing with the rest of my friends Andriana’s special day. The size is just
fine you get the geste of this right of passage. I can image the amount of time photos take which makes me appreciate your effort all the more.
Kick your feet up on the davenport and relax Mr. Major. Good job!
Just added photos to the article on the home page on our short trip to the Atlantic coast. I took very few pics, and since I didn’t have an article in mind, I didn’t really take the shots that would have made it come alive. But they give an idea of the beautiful location.
Annie asked to see some pics of our my van cum camper and this is all I could come up with, two shots of us having breakfast in May in Amsterdam on a visit to attend a Jeff Foster conference. I’ll give the photos more thought next time we take a trip.
Just added pics to this gallery of my all time f a v o r i t e French crusty, crispy pastries. In fact, I don’t like cakes very much, I much prefer this type of thing that the French call Viennoiserie (from ‘Viennese’, if you can believe it). One is called a pain au chocolat or chocolatine, and the other a pain au raisin, or raisin bread.
Annie contributed these photos recently (at least, I think she did!). It was definitely cake time at the Simone’s house recently. Look at this incredible cupcake. What on earth is it made of – strawberry??
That was a red velvet cupcake …we ate at a restaurant called ‘claim jumper’ the dessert portions were huge (well the cupcake was regular sized) but you should include the picture of what my son did with his birthday cup cake…
Hey where is that picture of Anil and Shobha? The suspense is killing me!!!!
Also Kendall please send a picture of you working from that cozy bed of yours or we can check things out ourselves on Sunday 🙂
Oh I just made a sad face after last post and it didn’t even show…better stick with backward
emotions ): Just a friendly reminder that this world is not what it seems.
Annie !! (:
You have no idea how much I love your posts, (and you (:)
I’ve sent the picture to our over-worked Mayor. I do hope he doesn’t get stressed out with having to post it immediately, and am looking forward to having Skype set-up in time for Sunday.
Exciting times (:

This is gonna be a 5 star day… I did an impromtu skype session with Pam. No planning just did it and it was so natural…why haven’t we done this sooner? Then of course the Birthday celebration which we rehearsed a month ago is here and the gallery just keeps getting prettier and I can’t imagine what it will look like by tonight. And now a picture of anil and shobha in the gallery! I might need to call in sick today just so I can stay home and revel in the love here. Seeing, hearing, sensing things moving so quickly is a wonderfully dizzing feeling. I can’t deny that this next level of connectedness isn’t exciting.
Ohhh and one more post ….{{{Lisi}}} my son and I are very much alike. You could tell just by the way he plays with his food? You must have psychic abilities (:
Hey Pam: no worries on the 5 post thing…I actually considered post #29 as my fifth entry of the day cuz I counted my birthday greeting to Debbi as number one even though it was in a different room. I make up the rules as a go along 🙂 …anywho, what you wrote for #30 was spot on! So I think its all good.
On a completely different topic I wanted to say that on my way to work yesterday I listened to this radio program and they were discussing a survey conducted on songs that can make a guy cry. (It’s a deeply stimulating program I tune into (joking)… you can listen to them too on the internet if you’re so inclined KROQ Kevin and Bean ) Anyways, the number one song was by U2 “Everybody Hurts”. Of course, I had flash backs of our Monastery days when we would post videos and I remember how that song really did hit home. So here I am listening to this absolutely crass morning radio program which would be the opposite of everything relating to the course regarding kindness and joining together; yet I’m drawn to listen because the DJ’s are just so honest in their observations and never take anything seriously. Firstly, the idea that someone felt they needed to conduct a survey on such a topic was beyond hilarious to them. As they were doing the count down they would tease the listener by playing clips from anything from opera to some women screaming as the number one song that can make a guy cry. Anywho, I just wanted to share that in preparation for our meeting tomorrow that I will take everything seriously and not seriously simutaneously. Have a good one today. I’m off to go get some details on the Mayor of Los Angeles Antonio Villiarigosa.
From Annie, at the Fireside Gallery. Sorry I couldn’t figure out how to format the following text under the photo. (I probably could, but it would take me an hour which I don’t have right now!)
“Being a good person is like being a pumpkin. God lifts you up, takes you in, and washes all the dirt off of you. He opens you up, touches you deep inside and scoops out all of the yucky stuff — including the seeds of doubt, hate, greed, etc. Then He carves you a bright new smiling face and puts His light inside of you to shine for all the world to see. This was passed on to me from another pumpkin. Now, it is your turn to pass it on to a pumpkin of your choice. I liked this enough to send it to a few of my favorite pumpkins in my patch.
Have A Happy Fall!
I had some elves come in during the night and set up this spread in the dining room of the Tavern. Hope you enjoy Thanksgiving at the Village. May you all be merrily and joyfully ‘Thanksgiven’ this weekend, my friends.
Whoaaaa! Next to judgement my next favorite activity – gluttony!! I said this with Happy Laughter as the “Looking” at the feast brought a new “level of understanding that I can’t find good words for.
Just so it has some context I have been opening randomly in the Course and stayin on those pages for several days before moving on. It just dawned on me that the one paragraph that I’ve been rereading the most is :
T6,II,18;1 “I do not need your gratitude, but you need to develop your weakened ability to be gratful, or you can not appreciate God.”
I’m a little slow at times,it just clicked; now is that a thankgiving message or what?
Bernard: Looking for your lost post all over the fireside, all over Village square, and just right now I see that all posts from October 6th to November 27th, just disappeared. Is it only my internet or in reality they disappeared?

Oh to know how to be still…
One day.
Ohhh and one more post ….{{{Lisi}}} my son and I are very much alike. You could tell just by the way he plays with his food? You must have psychic abilities (:
I don’t have anything more to say just wanted to post five times in a row cuz 5 is anil’s favorite number (:
Luv you mean it!
The smile on Shobha’s face. The halo of light around your heads. Anil whispering sweet everythings to Shobha. Lovely.
