Gifts to the VillageIf you feel that participating in the Village contributes to your path and happiness, then perhaps you would consider making a gift. Bernard offers his time, ressources and efforts on behalf of those who visit the Village, but as we all know, living in this world still requires us to pay bills and maintain remunerating activities. A donation helps him find the time for continuing to make the Village a place of learning and community. If you feel you are benefiting from this site and would like to show your appreciation for Bernard’s work, then please know that he is grateful for your thoughtfulness and generosity. Please use the ‘buy now’ button below to make your donations, entering the amount you wish to contribute. You will need a paypal account to use this service which is free. Please use the bernardgroom@yahoo.com email address when prompted. Many thanks – you are helping to keep the Village a viable, on-going home for us all.

Hey Bernard, I already have the book and I know it takes bucks to keep a site going so may I suggest a tip jar. I would toss a couple coins your way every now and then as I can afford. I’m sure others would too.
Hmm. Pam, that’s something I really haven’t thought about yet. Tell you what, I’ll give it a think and get back to you. If I could manage to produce a regular blog, or if there is really a quality forum, then perhaps we can work out a small monthly subscription or something, like subscribing to a magazine. Leave me a little time with this one. After all, we’re really just at the beginning, we need to see if it will swing. Thanks for thinking of this.
I agree. This space for firendship and exploration and study is well worth paying for: then you would not feel used, either – so go for it, bernard, it would be healthy.
Ditto Nina and Pam on this.
And Bernard, you might get PayPal – very safe and supersimple.
Ditto Nina, Pam, Al (:
Bernard, I agree with all of the above on this issue too. Hugs and thanks for your true gift to us all of this site.
Mr.Mayor, I am very pleased with my new farm-house, I se the big Tree from here, and the fields and the farms…and the aura of mr. Zeph is very distinct around here. I am so glad you gave us this opportunity to really move in here, and i will do my best to be a respectable citizen. Thank God i found out what “shoppe” means in the menu.
Ah! the air is delicious – and the sounds – no motors – birds…and I hear voices calling to each other, laughing, distant and close – and the mowing(?) of happy cows – and a sweet cat with the name Rufus just moved in with me. he can even talk – oh my what a special village this is (:
see you later in the Taverna
( there are several free houses in the naborhood…)
yes, Rufus, coming
Hi, Rufus! I’m glad you found Nina’s house. I’m sure you will be spoiled with lots of goodies. Nina, if you could send him over to my cottage sometimes, and I’ll lend you Pumpkin, I would be eternally grateful. That is, if he is a good sleeper. Otherwise, he could probably stay at your place. I have infinite faith that you shall be a good and valuable citizen here in the Village… 🙂
“dear mr Bernard,” says Rufus, “I would not dream of spoiling your class-room, but you have my sympathy…maybe I could have a chat with ther during the day…have her meet me at the Oak Thursday, and i will see what I can do for you – I’ll take a good pound of fresh trout for that, thank you.”
Hey Mr Mayor, Just to make sure I don’t muck things up once I make the paypal acccount then I click on “send money” and then click on “Internationally” and then give them your e-mail address.
I ask because I have only used a card on line. Never have done the paypal account thingy.
Pam, PayPal is the swiftest and simplest and safest I know.
Click on the “Pay now” sign above – you’ll be taken to the payPal-site- there you find “Account login” and at the bottom ” New to PayPal? sign up.” you will get instructions from there.
Update: ‘Shoppe’ page replaced by ‘donations’.
Bernard you have given so generously of your time and effort to keep us connected during a time of transition. I haven’t the funds to repay you for that. But a token of gratitude I can do. And I am glad that you asked. I guess you really are like family and I figure you will always be there. Looks like Pam’s idea (post #1) was spot on…a tip jar at the fireside for a few coins will help with the upkeep of the beloved place on the web (:
kaching kaching and Big Hugs too
Annie
Bernard, Ditto all that Annie said, and I am sure all of us think the same. But it is good that we have the sign “donate” up there because as Annie said coming here is like arriving home, but sometimes we forget running a home has a cost.
Lots of hugs and much love,
Lisi
Hey, remember at the Skype session at X-mas time I mentioned that I was going to buy another copy of Paulo and donate it to the library here. Well I took it in a few weeks ago and it was a new librarian that helped me and when I explained that I was donating the book we got to talking about it and then she read the back cover and really like what W.A. Ferguson had to say about it being a book that stimulates you to think instead of telling you what to think. Then she made the comment that she just might be the first one to check it out after it was catalogued. I thought that was cool. Plus another librarian that was helping someone next to us kept listening in and glancing at us/the book (this one I know better and chat with on a regular basis)and the look on her face let me know that she was interested also. It will be interesting to find out what they think.
It takes a Village to raise a conscious soul. By golly Pam’s got Nebraska covered!
Looks like Paulo will work his magic one library at a time.
What a fine idea. A donation that keeps on giving.
